How to install?
Installing TOCR is quick, easy and designed to have a minimal impact on your system - loading only a few DLLs (if necessary) for VB5.
- TOCR will not invade your system
- It won't make itself the default application for any type of file
- It won't appear in any place other than the usual Start\Programs menu
You should use an administrative account with local administrative privileges to install TOCR
Which version?
The version that's right for you depends on your needs. Version 3.0 comes as a Standard Edition (SE) or a Professional (Pro) edition. The Standard Edition is designed to be used 'out of the box' and does not give you access to the API. If you wish to program the API you will need the Professional Edition. Licences for SE are not compatible with Pro.
Versions 2.0 and 3.0 allow you to run more than one instance of an OCR engine (you must buy a licence for each instance).
